Hi, at my last check up my rehabilation doctor told me that my vitamin D level is on the limit.

I really don't know anything about vitamin D, does anyone have any experience and what symptoms people have if they are deficient and what the treatment is... I

Many thanks.

My daughter (9) takes 50,000 IU's every Monday. She has so much joint/bone/muscle pain anyway, so I am not sure if this is some of the syptoms of needing Vit. D.

I take 4000 IU of Vitamin D daily-there are new studies showing how it really helps your immune system-they are saying Vit. D is the new Vit. C! I still take vit C though-2000 mg a day. I have always been borderline to low on Vit D so I am excited to see what my new levels will be when I have blood taken in May.

Gunhild,
Last time I had my blood drawn, my vitamin D was "okay" but not great, so they prescribed me 10,000 IU's once a week for four months to boost my levels. I also take ADEKs (specially made water soluble vitamins for CFers) every day, which should help to keep my vitamin D level up once the extra doses are done.
