Vomiting and "coughing out her mucus

Our granddaughter (at 8mos old) did this when she had a cold on top of her CF. She would just get coughing so hard that she'd thowup. Given what she was throwing up (a lot of clear/white mucous) a lot of her sinuses were also draining into her stomach.
