Vomitting

To those of you with stomach involvement -
Does anyone have problems with frequent vomitting? By frequent, I mean once every month or two. It is really frustrating for me. I am pretty much maxed out on enzymes (for my body weight.) I take 7 Creon 20's with meals, and I almost always remember them. My dr. doesn't really know what else to do.

when you vomit is it because you are having a coughing attack, or is it just kind of out of the blue? Depending on that answer, I would suggest you try switching enzymes.

hi there,
i know when i was taking lots of creon 20 i would frequently vomit after meals. naturally i lost a heap of weight, guess it was the same sort of thing as being a genuine anorexic. my doc told me to take more enzymes as i obviously wasn't taking enough to gain weight, then he told me to take lactulose.
i was really against the idea 'cause i was trying so hard to gain weight & i didn't really think that taking laxatives would be a good part of this plan. but then he finally explained that adults can get a sort of semi bowel blockage, you know, like most of us had as babies, so that was what the problem was, i needed those enzymes but they were "blocking me up" so once i started on the lactulose it was fixed.
As for weight gain, i lost 10kg in 1 week! tried for over 12 months to get it back on, it wasn't working. as soon as i "gave up" trying so hard it's all snuck back.. damn, so now i need to go shopping for pants that fit!
I do also vomit when i've been coughing so hard, can't watch "that scene" from Rocky Horror without bolting to the bathroom!
Hope this finds you all in good health

I dont know whats causing your Vomitting, It could be from coughing, could be from Delayed Gastric Emptying of the stomache (which will cause Nausea, weight loss, and bloating) It could be from too much stool backing up in your colon. Either way, you should have some tests done, Xray, Ultrasound (to check your gallbladder/liver) and see a GI doctor. Its not normal to vomit.
Take care

Ya when I have a bad coughing attack I cough so hard I vomit. I was really sick one time and I was on a liquid diet probably for almost a month because everytime I ate I had to cough and I would just throw everything back up. I had to stop a lot of my pills too because they were coming back up. it was horrible.

I will only vomit if I eat and then have coughing attack shortly after. Every morning I always take my inhaler and have nice cough before I eat my breakfast.
