Waking up with tightness in lungs

For the past two days I've woken up feeling tight like I'm having a problem with asthma, though I am not wheezing and nothing in my environment has changed. What causes this, could I be coughing too hard during treatment? I only do the vest once a day for 16 minutes. I don't feel sick, just very tired but what new mom isn't!

Could it be that you have a small cold virus? This is sometimes what is troubeling me when i don't even notice that cold yet. My chest feels tight and the only thing that helps are nebs really.

I hope it's not something serious that is roaring it's ugly head!

I used to ignore chest tightness but I I have started listening more to my body I realize this can lead to something bigger if I don't address it. I get chest tightness when I am dehydrated. The mucus get super sticky and makes things tighten up. When I am dehydrated my cough becomes very non productive. Sometime it will take me days of drinking water and gatorade to get things moving again.
