Weird Food Choices

I ate so many mayo and peanut butter sandwiches when I was younger that I no longer like them. How about making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and toasting it like grilled cheese? That is fantastic!!!

Really?! I don't know... I just don't know.

I LOVE pbjs, but not sure if I want to risk ruining one by adding cheese. I do love peanut butter and grilled cheese though. I'm just not convinced that they could be amalgumated

However I accept that since you could no longer face your pb mayo sammies, you had to find some alternative.

I actually satisfied a craving for tahini, marmite, cheese, spinach and sun dried tomatoes in a wholewheat wrap today.

I don't have CF, but when I was pregnant with my oldest (21 years old now) all I would eat was Campbell's Vegetarian Vegetable Soup with fried scrapple mixed up in it. That kind of blows the whole "vegetarian" bit, doesn't it? When she was almost a year old I was looking for something to eat and I remembered how much I loved that stuff, so I spent all that time frying the scrapple just right, mixed it all in, took a bite and threw up. I have no idea what that kid was doing to my taste buds.

(Well, that's a lie. the McDonald's around here closed at 11pm, and every night at 10:55pm I would crave one of their cheeseburgers. My husband would start asking me if I wanted one every few minutes from 8pm on, and I would insist I didn't. That in itself is pretty gross, eh?)

This topic is very light and humorous, thanks for starting it! I can't wait to see who is grosser than me, lol.

Although, jelly seems to be a staple around here. The only thing Riss likes that I think is weird (don't judge me by my "pregnant days", they're over) is grape jelly mixed in cottage cheese.

LOL at the burger story - maybe it's like the garden of eden, where once you know you it's unavailable it becomes just that little bit more desirable.

What is scrapple? I take it that it's some kind of meat or fish, in which case... ugh! x
