Weird taste

That was my first thought too- sinus drainage. Especially since he has been having the runny nose issues. I think I would still go ahead and take him to the ENT- also make sure no polyps up there. I know I read somewhere that you were thinking of cancelling.

This is going to sound wierd, but when my usual staph flares up it's somewhat sweet. When I had MAC and it was flared up my sputum tasted different - more of an orange flavor than the usual Kool Aid kind of flavor. When my lung bugs are held at bay there's not much of a discernable flavor. Also the color of the sputum changes, or actually the tint of it changes, from a yellow cast to a greenish and even a brownish tint. ~Juliet

My first thought was bugs flairing up.
I used to have a really bad taste in my mouth just before I had to call my doc for IV's.

Can you smell it too in his breath?

Like others say, it could be meds too. Or dripping from his sinusses, but I think that that would be bacteria too.

Hope it gets better for him soon
