I was having awful problems with dizziness and my balence was more off than usual...they gave me meclazine.

I had an inner ear infection...initally my doctor looked in my ear and was like "oh your fine..." but it kept getting worse so I went to the ER abd thats when they gave me the meclazine (SP)

I am having a lot of problems with dizziness. I just got out of the hospital and the doctors say that it might be caused by the Tobramycin that I was on--apparently it can "bruise" or kill the little hairs in your ears---which means either it will go away or it will be permanent It is really affect just daily activities. Have you found anything more out? I really question that it was the Tobramycin because it was stopped before I actually started having dizzy symptoms and my hearing tests came back perfect----?????? what is going on?

It almost feels like I am in a fog or something---can you tell me anything more about yours or if it finally went away?

How are your periods, are they heavy?
I had problems with dizziness - Anemic due to an uncontrollable bleeding cyst.
I thought I was just having heavy periods for years (didn't go to gyno - no insurance). When I finally got to one, she detected the cyst, we tried controlling it with birth control, nothing worked. I had to have a hysterectomy. I no longer experience the dizziness. OH, I also tried Anivert in the beginning too, that did nothing for me. I was so dizzy at times I was vomiting.

Best Wishes - dizziness sucks!

Well i am happy to report that the dizziness went away as mysteriously as it came a few months ago . I have no idea what caused it , but i am happy its gone. I just woke up one day and realized ....Hey i havent felt odd in the head for the whole weekend......lol
I have been on iv tobramycin since the dizziness went away and it didnt return so i dont necessarily think thats the culprit but then again, i cant rule it out either.
Cindy i know exactly what you are going thru and how frustrating it is when theres no answer. If there are no culprits you can find for the dizziness, you may just have to wait it out till it goes on its own. The ENT did tell me when i went to see him, that some people get dizziness for a week, a few weeks ,or even months for no find-able reason and then suddenly it goes away. I hope your goes away soon......
