What are the most common inflammation reduction meds/treatments?

What are some of the meds or methods used to fight chronic lung inflammation in cfers?

I'm taking serevent, and just recently started on a daily oral antibiotic the name of which escapes me just now.

1. Anti-histamines. Many CFers has untreated allergies/asthma because symptoms are often blow off as "CF" issues instead of underlying allergies

2. Lukotriene agonists such as Singular. See explanation above and see my blog or CF clinical trials

3. Azithromycin

4. NAC (see my blog for more studies on NAC)

I have always been a fan of the non steriodals anti-inflammatory, AKA, Motrin. I know the studies aren't there to support the usage in adults but I swear by it. I have been using 800mg TID for years, give it a try and see if you feel better.

As for the antibiotic they put you on it is most likely Zithormax (azithromycin) as that is kinda the standard. Many docs are alternating with Tobi one month and the most sensitive PO antibiotic the next. Some months I take Bactrim, some months I take Levaquin, just depends on my culture.

Anyway, hope this helpls
