Hey all, I was wondering if anyone is a personal trainer, and if so what are they education and training you have to take. I think this would be a fun and also benefit my health, another career that I was thinkin about would be outside sales of some sort, they are very flexible, plus u usually get a company car which saves alot of my money lol. my aunt and cousin are pharmucatial sales reps, which is alot of work but they can start and finish usually when they want. Which is nice for us CFers? SO i was also wondering what other lines of work deal with outside sales reps if anybody knows.

What do other people do, I need some ideas cuz i am sick of my OFFICE job!!! I also am a single mother so I do need something that pays enough to support me and my child.

I am a teacher, which is great for me, because we are looked at as state employees, so I have government insurance.

Ry was a computer tech guy, he worked for a local company and did troubleshooting, custom computers, wifi, whatever. He loved it, and he could do it at home.

Comission artist, but 'retired' with impending motherhood hopefully. I prefer to just be at home, and its probably all my health will allow.

My sister in law is a personal trainer. She loves it. Early/weird hours, but flexible too. Pays decent if you schedule enough.

I'm an air quality scientist, working at a consulting firm. A large
part of my job is office work, but I also get to go out in the
field on occasion to gather data. The nice thing about consulting
is that I have a lot of choice about which field assignments I
take. I stay away from the ones that involve extensive travel, but
I usually jump at the opportunity for the smaller day trips that
get me out of the office. I also have the flexibility to work from
home sometimes. All in all it's a great fit for me, and it's
exactly what I set out to do when I chose my major in college.

I'm a server in a restaurant and I hate it! I love not doing the same thing every day, I love the people i work with, and it's good excercise, but I hate relying on tips and never knowing if I'm going to make $200 or $20.
I'm in the process of getting a job at the police department, working part time inside. I've passed the background check, but yesterday I went in for my physical and drug test. I know I'll pass the drug test, but I don't know about the physical They took a chest x-ray (oh no!!) and my lung function test was at 44% (supposed to be a min. of 75%).

I'm forever a college student. It's starting to get annoying, I'd like to graduate before I'm 104. But the idea now is social work, when I'm finally done.

Hi! i'm studying to be a chartered accountant so that i don't have
to worry too much about finances when i'm on my own. Also CA's are
in demand in South Africa so hopefully it will allow me to just
work in the mornings. But i still have many years left to
study!
I worked in Retail sales, insurance sales and last my not least substitute teaching. I love that the best. Working with children was rewarding. It was most challenging when I had to fill the shoes of their teacher. I decided that morning if I wanted to go to work or not and most times I took the job. My latest job which I do not get paid for is a website for transplant patients.

I am hoping to work again soon in the area of helping people.

I did the substitute teaching for a few years. I loved it. I will treasure the memories. I use to play Opra with the kids (they loved it). If they were bad they had a write a letter to me why stating why they were misbehaved and how they will improve.

I worked with all ages. I once went to a correctional school and asked one of the students "what happened to your teacher" (I never asked this question before in my sub teaching days but when the kid told me), "one of the students hit the teacher over the head" I said to myself this is a school to stay away from. It was so strange why I asked this kid that question but I was so glad I did. Never went back to the next day.

Well, I'm not working at the moment, but my field of choice is Office Administration. I was an Admin. Assistant to the President of an Advertising and communications firm for the longest time. I found that an office job where I was sitting for majority of my time was a bit easier on my health, then the customer service I used to do. Standing all day wore me out when I did customer service for dept. stores.

My last two serious jobs were in the service industry (serving, I know what you mean Lindsey) and a mail clerk for a big law firm in Toronto (trust me, i did not fit the company profile.).

Now I am unemployed, trying to kill time until I go back to school. Will probably get another job in the service industry though in the meantime. I'm thinking at a club, where i don't have to wake up in the mornings. Oh ya...
