What do you do to manage bone/joint pain?

I was just wondering what ppl do to manage the pain that they have in their joints? I am so tired of being in pain, my hips, shoulders, knees, ankels and even my toes hurt. I don't want to take narcotics at all. I have been taking a gram of tylenol and a gram of motrin and that helps a little but not enough. I take hot baths that don't really help either..

I am in the process of getting dx with avascular necrosis which is still debatable at this point but I can't bear to think that I am just going to have to live with this pain as part of my life..... I mean my body hurts so bad, it huts my hips to lay on my side, my shoulders ache and my hands turn numb when I lay in other postions and I can't get used to sleeping on my back. I have to take high doses of steroids due to my addison's and the side effects of it are going to kill me long before CF is.....

Sorry to whine, I just know that you guys understand what it is like to constantly not feel good.. it is driving me nuts....my arm ache just writing this post....sometimes when I am at work in the emergency room, I see older ppl in so much pain that they can't move and can't sit up or anything and it kind of freaks me out because I am 32 and I am thinking that that is what my future holds for me...As it is I wince when I walk up stairs, and limp if I walk to much.. One week of school and walking across campus with my book bag and I literally feel like someone beat the tar out of me......

I don't want to live the rest of my life in pain, maybe I am being dramatic....but I think being in constant pain is taking its wear on me...

I go to a Chiropractor once a week. Medicare/medicaid will cover it. It has helped me greatly.
