I am curioius what and when everyone eats before they do a hard cardio workout? I can't do something high sugar (CFRD) but can't really just do protein cause blood sugar may drop with that. I also have problems with GERD when I eat before I workout...
So, I'm looking for ideas of things that don't cause spikes/plummets in blood sugar and also stuff that won't cause terrible reflux. I'm wondering what ya'll eat to give you energy that doesn't effect things like CFRD and GERD?
I'm also curious WHEN you eat it? Sometimes, I can eat 1 hour before a workout, but still get burpy when I run. If I wait too much further apart than that, I risk my blood sugar dropping. Any tricks?
