What is everybody using for a mucolytic? I can't use Mucomyst anymore. It irritated my Asthma so bad, I ended up on a respirator in ICU for a few days.I have started takaing NAC orally but am nervous. Please give me some feedback here. What can I use and how much. Anyone else have the Asthma component also to add to the "Pandoras Box"?

My daughter also has asthma. She is on:

Pulmozyme
Albuterol
Flovent
and she just started the 3% saline, she will move up to the 7% after three months.

My two year old does Pulmozyne. Although I do want to start him on Mucomyst? What is NAC? Warwick mentioned that he liked that for his patients but I kinda forget what it was... Thanks

Pulmozyme made me sick unfortunately.
NAC is the oral form of Mucomyst or N-Acetylcholine.

Monique uses Gentamycin and 5% saline, but has to use an inhaler before the saline because it also irritates her asthma.
