sleep, getting proper nourishment, not going out and doing much - resting is a really huge one for me.

Take Care,

Getting plenty of sleep is the biggest one for me. If I don't get enough sleep, that is a sure way for me to get sick it seems.

And not pushing myself to go and do everything and anything I want to do or usually do (maybe I should say, making myself stay home and rest, instead of going and doing.... ) also helps me get better. If I couldn't do that, I wouldn't be able to go home on iv's when I'm sick. But since I sleep better at home, I get better faster at home with my iv's .

Psychologically: Good beer and food and funny conversation and a shared fun activity with friends (Drunken guitar hero 2 on the big screen, darts n beer, dvd's and beer, canoing and beer, etc etc)

Physically: Working out with weights. Nothing feels better body wise (except for taking care of yourself cf wise with the vest nebs etc) than pushing a lot of weight and feeling your body respond with a rush of endorphins and general mood altering chemicals. I personally think that if all CF patients worked out to some degree within their means, consistently, much of the depression and side physical symptoms associated with CF would mostly go away.
