What is good about CF?

WOW--this is a great post.

1.) CF has helped me to charish every moment I have with my children--the good, the bad, the whinny & sad and not take one simply moment for granted. This may not seem like much to many but prior to Holly being DX with CF now that I look back I took a lot of things for granted with her & Isabel and find that I complained about things that make me happy now like her screaming--now I'm happy that she has the lung function to scream!!!

2.) CF has made me educate myself & want to educate other people about a disease that is very rarely ever spoken of but should be. When I started my fundraising for great strides I was amazed at how many people didn't even know what CF was or how it affected people.

3.) CF helped me understand the meaning of a TRUE friend, one who is there for you even when you have hit the lowest of the lows & understand that some people are only your friends when it's convenient. It helped me change into the adult I am now & helped me learn to appreciate the few true friends I do have. When I found out Holly had CF & her first hospital stay I just wanted someone to sit with her so I could shower after 3 days so she wouldn't feel left alone if she woke up & I wasn't there, I found out who my real friends were & how many were just too busy.
