I just read that somebody has bought 4 tickets for 'Take That', (thats the band that Robbie Williams was once in) for £100,000. Thats like $190,000 in the US. Can anybody think of anything that that money could have been better spent on?

Other things that come to mind : pay off debt, a few cars, college, CF research...the list can go on and on.

I cant even see spending that much on a concert. To me, $65 a ticket is pushing it!

I guess that is where priorities come in. Even if I personally didnt need that $$ for anything. I bet that I would use it for something more constructive for someone somehow.

Yeah, that ticks me off since I'll be working my tail off to try to raise $20,000 for CFF this year with Great STrides and our three fundraisers. I am asking everyone I know for help, spendig at least 20 hours a week organizing...and that guy could just write a check and be done with it. Life's funny, ain't it?

Yes, the same ironicy that gives basketball/football gangster-type players zillions, while our genius doctors and surgeons get squat.

It's truly a sad state of affairs. But who said life was fair???
If life was fair, all the horrible diseases would be with the murders, rapists and the like...

I cannot imagine spending that kind of money on a concert no matter WHO it was . Thats just ridiculous . With starving children ( and adults of coarse) in this world, and illnesses that desperately need research, and people who cannot afford their medicines ,homeless people, the list goes on and on...... i just cant imagine that a concert should have more importance. BUT to some people, they can not see past themselves.
