When did you start to feel SOB?

Hi,

Just wondering if you guys could tell me when you first started to feel SOB during your pregnancy? I always thought it was supposed to happen near the end when the baby is pushing up on your diaphragm, but I seem to be starting to experience it a little already.

Also, was there a certain position that made you more SOB or relieved your SOB? I seem to notice the SOB when I'm lying down at night or bent over picking something up (but that's an obvious one). I don't tend to notice it when I'm sitting up straight or standing.

I am feeling a little more full in there, so I know things are starting to get a little packed! I'm excited to find out how big the baby is at my ultrasound next week.

Thanks!

I never got SOB with either kid, I just coughed A LOT - all the time, until I puked, but then I felt fine. I think it just depends where and how the little one is resting in there as to how the lungs feel and deal with it.

I never felt SOB. I didnt feel any problems until my 8th month (night of my baby shower as a matter of fact) where I just didnt feel "well/right".

Well I start to feel SOB at around 8 weeks - but that is because my asthma kicks into unmanageable high gear. It is lessening up now though which is great. Still bad but not as bad as it was.

As far as SOB caused by baby, I don't remember feeling that. What I do remember was having a very hard time eating towards the end - having to pick and choose what I was going to eat off my plate because if I ate too much I ended up in pain for hours on end. Hoping to avoid that this time around <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

BTW I have my next appointment w/ the peri for an u/s on the 15th - the day after my birthday. I have my regular OB appointment next week but it will only be the routine boring stuff.
