Happy Holidays everyone!

I need help... What do you guys do when you are the primary caregiver and you get sick with a cold, bronchitis?

Last year at this time I was sick with bronchitis, again in June and now again. Every time I get sick so does my daughter. Last year I was able to get over the bronchitis ok, in June it took several rounds of Z-Pak and other Abx and 2 months to get over it, now I have it again, going to the Dr. tomorrow. Last Tuesday I began feeling ill, now I am coughing up green, fever, sob, aches, nasal mucus is yellow-green.

Breanna has been doing great and now that I am ill, she is having an exacerbation, coughing up green, pale, peak flow down from 325 to 250 (normally 300-350). Her routine appt. at clinic is Thursday the 11th. We have been doing extra treatments and it seems to be helping, but she needs Abx.

Since I am her primary caregiver, I have no family here to help me, what do I do???

Please let me know your thoughts...

Well most of the time it's my lil' cf'ers that get me sick. On the odd occasion that I am sick and not them I try to use as much precaution as possible. Not always easy! They both like most cf kids know how to do their nebs and vest alone. So I don't touch their equipment. I disinfect everything. Since it's just me and the boys I've also a few times even ordered dinner so that I'm not hacking all over their food.Wash hands, clean anything either of you touch.

I wash and sanitize my hands constantly (after sneezing/coughing, before handling food, nebs, meds), wipe down the bathroom sink and counter, throw my toothbrush/keep it away from everyone else's in the bathroom.

I have worn a mask, which DS thinks is hilarious and then he needs one too. Last time I had bronchitis and was taking a coma nap, I awakened to find DS laying on my head while dad was paying no attention to his where abouts whatsoever. He was fine, but I was worried the entire time.
