I just started Hannah on oatmeal baby cereal. I never gave either girl rice cereal because it can be constipating. We just started with oatmeal. After a month or so of cereal we started adding baby food. Once they get the hang of baby food, I mix the oatmeal cereal with baby food.

aj was orginially on 5tsp of rice cereal mixed in with his formula, with 5oz of water. but he was constipated a lot for about a week and half...this was about 2 or 3 weeks ago, one reason why he was really fussy. so i took away one tsp of rice and it has helped him out a lot! he had the rice mixed in to make his formula heavy so that it would stay in his tummy...stupid reflux!
