Jennifer, insurance won't cover your ADEKs? Mine didn't either at first. But we fought it for a few days, and they finally agreed. If you have a rx from your doctor, and fight the insurance company, they MAY be willing to pay for it. You just have to argue the point. Make it sound good to them. That if they don't pay for some vitamins now, they'll be paying for much bigger things later when your bones start falling apart.

Mine are covered by the province I live in. I know for a while we had a shortage on ADEKs, but that doesn't seem to be the problem now.

Thanks Emily!!!!
That would be amazing if my insurance paid for them.. Do you know what department you ask for when you call your insurance company?

Not the slightest clue... hah. I didn't call. My mom went to her benefits lady at her office and the benefits lady called and argued with them for a while. I'll PM you my mom's email address so you can ask her about it. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I just ordered it from cFsource. It was 18.99 I think. It also has the B Vit's in it which helps. Thanks for your suggestions. I decided to order it and pay for it myself b/c if I use my insurance I have to use a lower quality generic brand and pay 10 bucks anyway. I am a big believer in buying high quality supplements. The difference works for me.

Thanks again!

My daughter uses ABDEK and this is free as long as we send in receipts that we are purchasing Creon. They send us a 3-month supply (we buy the Creon 3 months at a time). We found out about this program through the CF clinic. They also send 3 months supply (free) of our choice of Scandishakes or VHC (very high calorie carnation instant breakfast). She used to be on ADEK - but, they have to be chewed and it discolored her teeth really bad.
