Where is Emily65 Roses?

I haven't logged on for a week or so just because I've been so busy. But I haven't seen any posts from Emily. Did she go on vacation or something? I'm a little nervous because I haven't seen here name on here.
Hope all is well, let me know if you know something I don't.
Sincerely,
KELLI

I was on vacation about 2 weeks ago. Other than that, I've been online less because the IV med I'm on (Meropenem) makes me nauseous and it gets worsened by reading and writing. So I haven't been keeping up as much, because I'm spending a lot less time on my laptop. But other than on home IVs, I'm fine. I really appreciate the concern. Love for you.

Oh ok, I can breathe easier (pardon the pun.) Isn't it kind of funny how we get attached to people on here, people we've never even met. Like it's weird when I don't see your name because I'm so used to it.
I'm glad you are ok.
I take the Meropenem and I have it several times a year and my stomach has adjusted to it. How sad is that. Before when it would make me sick my dr would prescibe a med to go with it to combat the neuseousness. Don't take benedryl, at least for me it dried up all of the crap and I wasn't able to cough it out. It made my treatment so much longer....which was horrible. A huge waste of time and $.
Well I'm glad you're ok Emily. Good luck with your IV's. Hopefully they will help you and you'll be done soon.

Yeah I know, I consider all the regulars here my "real" friends even though I haven't met any of them (except for Coll and her mom, of course... oh and my own mom haha).
It seems as though my stomach has adjusted to the Meropenem to where I'm more comfortable on it than I was the first time (last August). I'm still not "normal," but it's better than it was last time. I don't think I ever even would've thought to take Benadryl. I just have been taking a lot of Ibuprofin for the headaches that the nausea spawns from. The IVs seem to be helpful, I'm gagging and vomiting (from excessive coughing) less. And if things go according to plan, I'm done on Tuesday.
Thanks again for the concern! And the well-wishing. Hehe. Hearts for you.

Emily,

I hate anything that ends with penem!!! (nausea)...sorry you have to be on that one -- how many times a day is it? When i was on Imepenum (sp?) it was 3x a day, and I threw up (or dry heaved) for all doses!!!

Here's hoping your off it soon!! Take it easy, and don't feel pressured to write if your not up to it -- we''ll all just have to talk about you instead of to you!! lol j/k

Emily was very excited (not the right emotion, but I don't know how else to describe it!) that everyone was looking for her. She's feeling a little better and looking forward to going off the IVs hopefully tomorrow. We go on vacation soon and I know she wants to be feeling better for that and for her summer job at the American School for the Deaf, so hopefully these IVs will have worked!
