whom to donate money??

Hi, I've been thinking, it's my birthday in a couple weeks and I'm expecting a couple presents from the usual suspects, but I'm thinking of telling them to make a donation to a CF org. instead of buying me stuff that I probably don't need <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

So, I only know the UK CF Trust to whom I sent a donation, but I'd like to know what other organizations are best to help monetarily. Any ideas, please? If possible with websites so I can send the URLs to my friends/relatives. Thanks in advance!!!

Well I'm not in the UK, but when I've directed people to donate we either send them to the US's Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or I encourage people to donate to our local Children's Hospital. I figure the CFF is important because it helps to fund so many of the drug research. And I figure that since my daughter will be at this hospital over her lifetime, helping to keep it a funded and good hospital is essential.

Just like Heather said, I (as well as many others) spend a great deal of time there & different things that CF patients get there make a world of difference during their long hauls. I probably will have both listed.

We also did both when my Dad died.

Thanks! But I was speaking about CF Foundations anywhere! For instance, in the US. What are the best to send money, anyone knows?
