I have that at ovulation, but having naturally conceived twins twice I think my extra may be me extra fertile. Just like CF lung mucus CF cervical mucus can have infections too. My GYN tested a culture and I took antibiotics and then being on Azythromycin for lung inflamation has really helped me decrease the cervical mucus too so I'm thinking it helps keep infection at bay.
