So NOW I know what the weird abdominal pain probably was, the pain that felt like a period cramp....? It may have been a period cramp.
What the heck is this?! I'm breastfeeding! I was counting on a period free year or so. Not fair.
I woke up with what seems like a very light period. Now I just started the ivs-Ceftaz and Zosyn a few days ago, so could this really be a coincidence? Has anyone had ivs mess up their cycles or cause bleeding?
I guess I could be getting it, but my baby is only 5 months so, its possible, but highly unusual. All the women in my family went a year without it while breastfeeding.
?????

Christian, I was fully breastfeeding my first baby and got my period at about six months after he was born. With my 2nd and 3rd children my period came after six months, but before one year, I think. It is an individual mother/baby thing - your fertility is suppressed by the frequency and amount of breastfeeding. Some fully breastfeeding mothers get a period within a couple of months of birth, alas!

Christian,

Well when I am on IV's my period is usually 2 weeks late! It's the only time it's late. I also get yeast infections, diarrhea, nausea, and just about anything else that you can think of. IV's and I don't get along too well!

After my c section I bled for 2 months...got a week off & was right back into my cycle pattern.

IVs do mess me up. This month I was almost a full month late.
