working to correct Delta F508

I understand what a monopoly is and I know it's good to have choices for everything. I also am glad too that they are researching all different companies and ways to find a drug to help the DF508 gene. On the business side of it I just think of how much money cff probably put out to vertex hoping they had the "golden ticket" for CF. Was it a breakthrough with cf for what they did discover and come up with, yes. I just hope vertex keeps working on it along with the other company. I would love to see a drug that will help the other 90 percent (which includes me) of cf people the way the VX-770 will help the small percentage of cf patients when it is approved and on the market next yr.

I know it will happen, it's just going to take more time but eventually it will happen.

The point is, there is no GOLDEN TICKET, for example I am allergic to Tobi and Pulmicort. We all need to keep working.

If they gave up on Vertex then why are they starting a trial for VX 661 to work in conjunction with VX 770?

If they have completely given up hope on Vertex, they would not continue a new study for vx661.
