Yoga, Bikram

Has anyone tried this type of Yoga? Do you know if it is okay for us to practice?
The room in this type of Yoga is heated to 105 degrees to keep the muscles warm and relaxed as you practice this 90 minute workout.

What do you all think?

I did it for about a year a few years ago..and loved it!!! the only hazard i could think of for CFers is the possible dehydration...but they let you take water in with you. i became so hard core that my friends who came to class had to lie down and i kept on goin'!

i posted about this awhile back--was thinking about getting back into yoga but i think i'm going to continue my running regime.

be forewarned, though---one glass of wine after yoga will knock you out!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I don't have CF, but did do Bikram before I had kids. I loved it! I used to go 4-5 times a week and felt so good after. Bikram claims it's very cleansing and I've heard numerous stories of how it changed people lives. They do recommend not drinking much water during practice but I always brought in a small bottle of water and made sure to drink plenty after I got out. Drinking an electrolyte drink after to replace any nutrients you sweat out is a good idea.

there was a girl/CF in the prevention magazine that practices this yoga and says it has helped her breathing greatly. I was thinking about giving this a try.
