sounds like it could have been CF to me... but with a family that likes to keep secrets and/or give conflicting information I'm not sure you will get anywhere no matter how hard you try. The bottom line is, if anyone was truly concerned about their own health and had any knowledge whatsoever of his history, they should be pursuing testing and treatment for themselves regardless of what you tell them...so I guess I'd have to say... it sounds to me like they aren't very receptive to your information/curiosity anyway.... your time might be better served on making sure the family line from your child down is informed and aware....it doesn't sound like you will make much headway with the others.
