Your own stethoscope?

Back in the late '80s I was part of an adult CF support group. One guy had his own stethoscope so he could tell better when his lungs were clogging up. I was wondering if anyone else does this?

I don't because I have chronic ear infections and sinus infections that using a stethoscope is impossible, another reason why I can no longer work as a Medical Assistant.

Funny I just bought a children's functional stethoscope for my young nephew's 4th birthday. It is hard for him to understand when he sees his aunt with tubes coming out of her arms, wearing an thumping astronaut suit and breathing in steam for two hours! But he is so caring and sensitive. So I thought maybe he could play doctor <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
I have never tried to listen to myself though. I'll let you know what my nephews diagnostic impression is <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
