i was out at a bar last night with some friends for a few hours. at the time it didn't seem that smoky. i got home and was getting ready for bed and BLAM coughed up blood. i know this has happened to a lot of people on here, so i won't try to be too dramatic <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> but MAN was it gross!
i have had it happen before where i went to a bar and then coughed up blood, but it is usually not until the next morning, and then only streaks of old-looking stuff. this was WOW bright cherry red. fortunatly, there wasn't that much of it. only a few coughs until i was only streaking.
my question is this: i had skipped my night time treatment (i know, i know, bad bad) so my first thought was, i shouldn't have skipped it, i'll do it right now. but then i thought of the people on here w/ hemoptosis who are told not to do their nebulizers. i know that in my case it was only a broken capillary, but i didn't know if h. saline would have irritated it?? i did some airway clearance and called it a night. but should i have gone ahead and done my treatment?
