Zoe has been coughing since the end of July!

peds say she has asthma because she has been hospitalized for bronchiolitis 4 times already and she is only 14 months old. she came down with a mild cold in july and has been coughing since then. it a productive cough. it is not worse at night time...it happens all day long. some days are worst than others

she has a runny nose from time to time especially in the morning. whe can put the tissues away by noon on most days.

she breathes fast when she eats, drinks or plays.

she wheezes lightly on occasion.

she has been on inhalors for many weeks now and honestly, I don't see any improvement!

does this look like asthma to you?

no family history

dropped 2 lines in the weight chart in the last 5 months but is still almost 75th percentile so peds are not worried (but I am...kids are supposed to gain weight aren't they?

A friend of mine's granddaughter was diagnosed because she'd gotten sick several times with bronchiolitis and the doctors tested for CF to rule it out. She didn't have failure to thrive, had more constipation issues than the other.

I don't know that much about asthma, but one would think that with inhalers that she would be seeing some sort of relief. The bronchiodialtors would work to help open up the airways and to breathe better, work on the wheeze...
