Zosyn Questions

Hello,

I start Zosyn tonight with my other two Ivs Trobramycin and Vancomycin. I am wondering what Zosyn is like? What affects did you notice like side affects, after taste? I do it every 6 hours for 2 weeks, then get another sputum culture done and may have to continue for anouther week of it.

I have cultured 3 strands of Pseudos and MRSA.

I was on zosyn and experienced no side effects, etc. for 7 days. It worked great for me...

...Until I experienced severe rash and severe allergic reaction to it for some odd reason... The other med I was on at the time was one I'd been on before and have since been on, so they determined it was zosyn. I'm upset this happened, cause I was feeling amazing on it!

...Until I experienced severe rash and severe allergic reaction to it for some odd reason... The other med I was on at the time was one I'd been on before and have since been on, so they determined it was zosyn. I'm upset this happened, cause I was feeling amazing on it!

So that makes 3 meds im allergic to , Zosyn, Avalox, Bactrim <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif" border="0">

I took zosyn for the first and only time back in 2002. A few days in I was having high fevers and broke out in a rash. So I'm definetly allergic to it. Seems like many CFers are. I also hear a lot of us are allergic to vanco (like me), so youre lucky you can tolerate it!!
