Hello! Thought I'd share what we have done to beat the insurance problem with Zyrtec now being over the counter. Zoe has been taking Zyrtec for a couple of years now, doing great with it, but originally we had wanted her on Allegra due to the fact that it doesn't cross the brain barrier(hence maybe causing drowsiness). Well, when we tried that a couple of years ago, we couldn't get our doc to prescribe it to her. But, now that I have called with the whole "insurance won't pay for the Zyrtec anymore" problem, I asked them if they would call her in Allegra to try, sure enough, they did! FYI Zyrtec over the counter is about $30.00 for a one month supply! The Allegra through my insurance will cost me the same thing for a 3 month supply! Allegra is equivalent in effectiveness, so I am excited for the new change! Yeah, we finally got what we wanted!!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
