Zyvox Oral Antibiotics

For those who have taken the Zyvox oral antibiotics, how often do you take them? They cleared up my infections real good when I was on it a few months ago, but I was wondering how many times a year can you take them? It's like going on IV's without going on IV's. thanks!

I can't tolerate Zyvox by mouth.. It can never get past my stomach, but I heard it is amazing to be able to take by mouth because it is the exact same as IVS just like you said...

Unfortunatly for me, I have been on IV Zyvox one to many times and I now am culturing something that is resistant to Zyvox.. which is bad news bears..

If I were you, or if I could go back, I would stick with Vancyo till that didn't work anymore... because now I am having to try to do Zyvox and Vancyo combo to get rid of stuff for me..

But you are right Zyvox kicks butt....

zyvox is a miracle drug. its my super favorite med ever!! i take it a lot...oops...


but it works so wel!! im on it right now, but only for a few more days. i take it for my sinus infections. i think i've been on it 3 times in the past year.

Before I had my transplant I cultured MRSA. I was on IVs probably about 3-4 times a year for 2 years and my doc would alternate Vanco and Zyvox. I personally LOVED Zyvox it is or was my wonder drug. Better effect than vanco and without all the nasty side effects for me.

I would maybe alternate them though that is just my opinion.
