Today I called my CF doc(actually I called her 3 days ago, but called again b/c my med wasn't called in). Well she is out of town so the "other" doctor, which I hate, and is such a know-it-all BI%#@, and told her I needed a script for bactruim and cipro. Well she refused to call it in (even...
With all the recent talk about the changes in textbooks and such, and the fact that I think schools are way to much about tests and not about learning...I am interested in homeschooling. However I worry about my CF getting in the way. I do NOT want my child to be behind in school. As of now we...
Does anyone know if there are any programs that help you afford the cost of supplements?
I just look at my list of meds and over 1/2 is supplements and they get expensive. b/c of that I can really only afford the cheap kind sold at walmart.
**Update**
So we took her in this morning. The doctor agreed that based on her symptoms she needed further testing. She said that even if she showed NO other symptoms but the MRSA lung infection @ 6 months that it would be reason enough, b/c fact is healthy people just don't catch MRSA in the...
Where can you get it? I know that its an old school asthma med, but I have been having the worst time w/ my asthma and Im one EVERYTHING, so we decided to go for it, BUT she said it was hard to get.
So does walgreens carry it.
*I checked my local army base pharm and they only carry the...
I saw a mom on here trying something her DR suggested and letting her daughter vest all night. Has anyone else heard of this or done this? Did you notice a difference? I am going to take it up with my doctor today and see what she says.
What vest systems does everyone use? I see most people say the hillrom or the incourage.
I use a SmartVest. I have never known anyone else that has done it, neither has my doctor OR the resp techs at the hospital. I don't really know much about the different vests though.
So I am currently in the hole. I came in not feeling awful, but I could tell I was a little jumky and my sinuses were AWFUL. I am so glad we caught this before it got "bad". I am so happy for all the changes I have made in my health. Tomorrow I am having sinus surgery and I am hoping for even...
So this year I am trying to better my health, and bring my lung function up to 2.0 (fev1). On NOV30 it was 1.92 (62%). Aroun dec 15th I caught an unknown virus that dropped me down to 23% and ended me in the ICU on bi-pap. Upon discharge it was 40% (1.40).
I am currently in the hospital for a...
Who takes this?
By the recommendation of a cysta I started it 2 days ago. I light it and I do think its working. I do however feel like it makes me more jittery feeling than the albuteral does. (oxygen high maybe lol??)
She has me taking it at the end of my meds, so I do them like this...
So I am currently in the hole for a 2 week tune up. I wasn't feeling awful when I came in BUT def not 100%. I think alot of it is due to sinuses/allergies but my cough had increases, gotten sticker, BUT only a yellow colored mucus.
Well I went to my local doctor since my clinic is 3 hours...
Ok so I know that the best kind to buy is the fizzy kind from bioadvan. However I can't afford that right now, specially with all my other med co-pays and supplements.
So I picked up some 600mg tablets from GNC. I was going to take 2 a day.
Anyone tried them? Does it seem to work as good as...
Ok where can I get this?
Is this the same as fizzy nac?
Is this a supplement or would I need a prescription?
What was your FEV1 when you started taking it and did it help improve or maintain it?
is it really that big of a deal if I take it when I take my other meds or with food?
I have tried EVERYTHING I can to figure out a way to fit it in on an empty stomach and can't -unless I starve and don't take my vitamins.
I can't do it when I first wake up b/c I just got done doing my tube...
ok so I'm confused on something and I just can't wait another month to ask.
We all pretty much know what our chest xrays look like by heart, right? Well I know that my upper right and lower left lobes ALWAYS are white and fuzzy on xrays. They have been ever since I was little.
Well I was...

I felt like mine was leaking (around the actual part in my belly) and that my shirt was wet all night. Whatever it was was clear but it was annoying....any suggestions to stop it or what it was. It even seems very "leaky" today. I haven't even done a tube feed in a few weeks.
I did eat really...
