Hey All,
I'll try to keep this history as brief as possible: I was diagnosed with CFRD in September, with a week long continuous meter revealing highs. I was undiagnosed for at least 5 years because my A1C is normal (it has been 6.0, 5.5 and 5.3 in the past year), and my OGTT comes back normal...
I would be concerned. I have similar numbers, 250-300 after meals. I was told if you ever get past 200, then you have diabetes (my dietician said this), but my endo doc says I'm doing "Great" with number like these. My A1C is 5.3, but that's very misleading because I'm frequently low with...

ME! I have had hypoglycemia my entire life. I was FINALLY diagnosed with CFRD last September. My OGTT test, and A1C is still normal, but they put me on a dexcom continuous meter for one week and saw that I was hitting 200 and 300 with all food.
The dietician I am working with (she works at my...

I use implanon and really like it. It's a rod inserted into you arm that lasts three years. I also used nuvaring and liked that too. I couldn't handle the pill, made me crazy.
On a side note: 70,000 units of vitamin D!?!?! My level has been stuck 19 for the past year, and so I'm on 10,000...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I know I'll figure it out eventually.
I get the impression from the many responses that I did not fully articulate my problem with keeping track of the pen...I know that it doesn't need to be in the fridge...I just can't remember to take it from the kitchen...

well I have the pen (the juniors)...It's just that like, with enzymes, I can stash them in my purse, pockets, friends houses, even glovebox (I know they aren't supposed to be heated, but I don't seem to have any backlash from the heated ones)...........but with the pen I only have one out of the...

I do actually look at alternatives, and I will definitely look into that! My numbers are not super high, highs for me are in the 200s, and I get A LOT of lows, and my weight is good, so I can play with my diet a little. I appreciate the suggestion <img...

I was diagnosed with CFRD back in Sep. I can't seem to find very many people to talk about it with, so I'm wondering if any of y'all can help me out.
I just started taking insulin with breakfast, lunch and dinner. I take novolog, with the juniors pen. I don't take any long acting insulin. My BG...

I had eight before getting a port. I don't think it's about a number, it's about getting you the meds. I would talk to your doctor about it. I don't go on IVs very frequently (once every year-three years)...but it's still SO worth it when I do need to do them, it's no longer a stressful desicion...

I find politics extremely frustrating, and I do not enjoy watching the news because of it, but my husband is in the military, so it does affect me personally, and I do try to pay attention because it affects both of us.
I understand not caring though, it's too frustrating to care if you don't...
what is your diet like? I don't have problems gaining weight, so restricting my diet wouldn't be a problem and I'd be curious about it, but as of now, I pretty much eat high fat and high salt.
