I agree that I don't think there is a "normal". I have been at the same FEV1 level since I started doing PFTs at this clinic in about 1996. It is frustrating to do so much and not have them go up, but I guess I should be thankful that they're not going down. I'm not sure what would be typical...
SUE! My glucose buddy!! You get to go first so you'll have to let me know what to expect. If I couldn't eat candy, I really don't kow what I would do. Candy is my anti-drug! And the fact that I do so many prescription drugs I wouldn't even have time for illegals!
Let me know, glucose Sue!

I have my first glucose test on March 23rd. AHHH!! I'm nervous!
Last time I was at clinic, I was feeling like I was about to pass out. They checked my blood sugar and it was either in the 60s or 70s.
Hopefully, I'll do fine, but I worry because I'm a candyaholic! We'll see!

It's weird the way we're affected differently, but I guess that's just life!! Maybe the lower hormone levels mean an increase in a different hormone. Who knows...I'm no doctor, or scientist, I'm just brainstorming! Maybe it's just the way our bodies react to hormones and what the natural level...

I went on birth control pills because I experienced unbearable cramping and literally couldn't move. I originally went on ortho-tricyclin and it made me psychotic. It made me mood swing so much that I wasn't myself at all. I was crazy every day. Then, I went on a BC with lower hormone...

I agree with things several people have said, but I can't remember all of the names! I will make a list!!
1. I do think that the effect that CF has on your social life correlates with the severity of your symptoms.
2. I think that to an extent you can control your social life, but you can't...

After this semester, I will only have two classes left at Georgia State University. I am a double-major in Speech and Journalism. I work part-time as a marketing intern for a recruitment firm.
I stay pretty busy, but I love it!
