I once had orangish brown sputum when I had a bad case of aspergillosis pneumonia, a fungal infection. My docs missed the diagnosis and put me on IV antibiotics. It took weeks if not months for my body to beat it down. I think you can get a blood test for this bug now.<br>

OK, so I'm a bit lazy. For years I've just rinsed my nebulizers in very hot water and set them out to air dry on a clean paper towel. When I got my Cayston kit there was a sterilizing kit included. Wow...I don't see why the Altera is much different than the other nebs I've been using??? Just...
Hi Sarah, Septra is a generic, I think, for Bactrim DS, which is sulfamethoxazole/trimethopr. This is supposed to be mildly effective in treating pseudomonas. Cefaclor is a generic for Ceclor. This drug is supposed suppress staph and strep.

Hi,
After a recent run of IV's I've added Activia Yogurt and Acidophilus pill supplements. I've been eating one yogurt at dinner and taking one Acidophilus pill each morning for about a week and a half. It seems to be helping some with gas and other undesirable IV side affects. I'm now back to...
