How long does it take to neb Tobi?

Tobi 22 minutes and Pulmozyme about 5-6 minutes. Our Tobi was originally taking 45 minutes, but I realized my filter wasn't screwed in tight and that was making the difference (for some strange reason). My compressor is a very old Pulmo-Aide, but it works great.

    Prevacid questions

I am so glad that she is still eating so well!! My 6 yr old doesn't take Prevacid (although my 2 yr old non-CFer does)but we did cut out the snacks and it made a huge difference in the amount he eats at meals. If he asks for a snack at 4pm (not dinner time yet), I just go ahead and feed him a...

    Learning curve for PFT's?

I agree that there is a learning curve as well. My son is 6.5 and his docs didn't even have him start trying until he was around 5.5. His went up and down (mid 90s one visit to mid 70s next visit to high 90s the next). They told me not to worry that most kids can't do it correctly enough to...

    Xopenex Inhaler vs. Nebulizer

I talked to our head respirtory therapist last year at our CF hospital and she said that the most recent studies showed that the Inhaler with spacer is just as effective as the nebulizer (we use albuterol though...they didn't have the xopenex inhaler at the time). My ds is 6 and we only use the...
