When you say "severe coughing fits" what do you mean by that? Does he/did he cough all throughout the day?
I ask because DS has been getting over a cold and even though the frequency of his cough is getting better, his eyes turn red from coughing so hard.
I still don't really know what is a CF...

Thanks guys. I did call back because I also wanted to make sure I was still supposed to do the albuterol with the steroid.
Stacey- no, he doesn't wheeze a and I think it was just a generalization that the nurse made and I've heard it from a couple of them.
Is there some kind of test they can do...

People at the CF clinic have talked to us since Parker first started his albuterol that if it stops him from coughing, he has some sort of asthma component along with his CF.
I've also hear that this is NOT true. . . does anyone know which is correct and why they would be saying that?
