I think twice a day Pulmozyme would make me feel better, but my doctor acts like insurance doesn't pay, etc. Then, I find out from the rt that other people do it twice a day. What kind of situation would make the insurance pay?

I would like one, but not because walking myself is difficult. Just when I am carrying stuff--like groceries, my 20-month-old. I am not even sure my doctor would write me a note for that. I do tend to dread running errands, with far away parking. And even sometimes put off getting...

Hey Tammy,
Before accepting the mist, you have to fill out a form (at least I think it's more than just my hospital's form) and your child has to "pass." He wouldn't have passed due to a line on the form that talks about respiratory issues. Weird that a nurse administering the mist didn't know...

I am curious. Would you be taking HTS/Pulmozyme and Albuterol if not for Cayston? Personally, I would be doing Pulmozyme and Albuterol regardless, just to be able to breathe and feel good, so I don't feel that I am spending extra time on these treatments. If you were not, you must be in very...

Is anyone using their Altera for Pulmozyme or Albuterol/Xopenex? How long does it take? Do you feel that it/they are having as much of an impact as your regular nebulizer? Any side effects?

I'm just wondering if CF docs are giving any advice about the flu mist as opposed to the shot. I know as a CFer I got the shot, but I'm wondering if my older son can get the flu mist without having any ramifications for me. Does anyone know?
