Not sure if you are addressing me or not. I kinda didn't want to participate in the "hijacking" of this thread, but seeing that the other participants don't particularly care if it continues to be "hijacked" or not, I'll answer your question.

It is a very existential question...

Well that is good news! Yeah there is perhaps no reason to check your sugars. Your dr. will do routine blood testing and will most likely monitor your BS at that time. If you indeed think you'll get CFRD you might begin by educating yourself about carb foods, and non carb foods- if for any...

I've never been on pednisone so i can't speak for that even anecdotally. This is something you should really ask your doctor or even an endocrinologist. Id do a bit of research first so you can ask some well informed questions. As far as when to check for Blood sugars? Ican only speak for myself...

You are too funny Mama. You ask that I start another thread to stop this and accuse me of hijacking, yet you continue to highjack the thread and argue your point. Practice what you preach and drop it.

I have CFRD,and blood sugars in that range, from what I understand, is borderline diabetic. I used to run that high for some time yet the doctors seemed unconcerned, probably because it was inevitable at least for me. We as CFers as we get older continuously lose the function of our pancreas...

I refer you to my original post before this threat devolved into what it is now. I do not support anyone who knowingly brings anymore children into this world after they have had a first child with CF. I stand by that. It is not a rant, it is very pertinent to this situation. If these...

Some of you are pathetic, wishing to put children into this world against their will knowing full well the consequences. How selfish of you! I love how some of your first instincts are to turn this around and pull the "mad at the world" card. Some of you are living in a fantasy and are...

Shannon. To bring a child into this world knowing full well of the consequenses is neglect and abuse. You know as well as I that life can be hell, physically, emotionally, and financially. And to doom a child to live with all this ***** is plain wrong. It is distasteful to me when those...
