Have you received Ceftaz with Cipro before? Maybe Cipro made you more sensitive. Not sure if it's a thing but it resembles my own experience with Piperacilin.
I had a big reaction to Piperacilin the first time I was given IV Cipro with it. We stopped the IV Cipro thinking it was the culprit and...
I have the same side effect with Ceftazidime - Hands and feet itching badly. My tongue slightly swallows and the saliva ducts under my tongue get inflamed. If I'm not given something for it (Benadryl), it can make my whole skin hypersensitive. It has also happened in the past that my eyes became...
Giving capsules to toddlers - what?
I'm not surprised she won't take them, she's frigging 2 and a half years old.
I got my enzymes sprinkled in food until I was about 2. Then my mom started opening them and pour them in a pill cup and I would take them with juice, much like what JennyCoulon...
I will personally postpone lung transplant for as long as I can as there are new drugs coming out like Kalydeco that are going to help a great deal. Lung transplant is not a certainty and once it's done, there is no going back. There are people who die of rejection and once you get a transplant...
You know that "curing PA" involves reducing their number until there is no more of them, right?
PA is curable. Just not in CF. If you ever got rid of it, it would always come back eventually because your lungs are sick and you would have to get rid of it again.
The reason why we have permanent...
In this picture, you can't see it, but there is a Flolink valve tucked inside the mesh, which is folded on itself. You can do the same with a sock.
By taping the tubing upward this way, I didn't have to wear a mesh most of the time. I would let the whole thing dangle down or wear the tubing...
I've done that several times. My arms are flexible enough that I can to my lower back myself, using right hand on right side and left hand on left side.
However... hollow fist? Open palm? The point of the cupped palm is that is does a *clock* sound that resonates inside your chest, which is...
She will get used to it. Try when she's tried? She might fall asleep while you're doing it. I know that the only thing to calm me down in the first days of doing it was for my grand-mother to sing to me during the CPT. So try having something that calms her down or keeps her distracted, like TV...
I know that it's contagious 3 days before you start showing symptoms. As for how long into it, I guess that you stop being contagious when what you blow out of your nose is no longer colored.
Thank you for showing extra care by the way.
I've read someone before saying that going off prednisone will cause a flare up because your body is left defenseless while it has to adapt to the absence of prednisone. So I'd try no prednisone with antibiotics and see what it does. Too much prednisone is going to fry your pancreas too.

Chronic bleeders : You should have your lung arteries checked for size and have an embolization if needed. Mine were 3 times and 2 times the normal size. My hemoptysis episodes went down a lot in both frequency and amount of blood since the embolization.
Usually, it's more like "There you go.... :/" because I can kind of tell it's going to happen, as it usually happens after 2-3 days of pleural pain. Then I go hoping it doesn't get worse and carry on.
What kevin9877 said. Use it right after it was mixed. Do NOT follow longtimer's advice.
It is very sticky, much stickier than Tobi, so keep it away from electronics.
I have read that having any kind of multi-drug resistant bacteria will be a no go for a transplant, since it means that there is nothing they will be able to give to fight the infection if it comes up after the transplant. So my bet is that they are taking issue with the multi-drug resistant...
