This is uncertain. At my last appointment, my PFTs shown an increase of 3%. From 30% one month ago to 33% now. HOWEVER, this time I didn't do my PFT test on one of the machines I usually do it on. I found that this increase of 3% was very suspicious as I've been stuck to 30% and below for over a...
I gave it another try at my last clinic appointment this week, as I thought that perhaps the reason it burned so much was because I had an especially irritated throat that day. Turns out I was right! This time, my throat was fine! I've been able to tolerate it A1! I only had 1 coughing fit...
Levaquin... but if you get side effects with Cipro, Levaquin will likely be 1000x worse. So I wouldn't touch it... or only touch it if you're in hospital so any serious side effect can be dealt with right away.
Side effects are not the same than allergies. If it is determined that it is an...
This seems like a pretty severe side effect... not sure about your options... but if you think you can pull through an infection without taking antibiotics (with a lot of work and physical therapy) you should definitely do that instead of taking antibiotics.
Try eating things that boost your...
The first time I tried it, I couldn't tolerate it AT ALL. After a few breaths, I was wondering how the hell people could tolerate that! My lungs were fine, but my throat... NOT! It was burning so bad! It was worse that the worst sore throat I had ever had!
However, I thought that maybe my throat...
I tried it for a month. It goes very well, until you hit a low. The podhaler, being powder, will not provide you with the very sought after relief that the nebulized form might provide you with and might actually make things worse, right when you need something that only makes things better. So...
Yes, Bill, because I was totally and specifically talking about you and your situation. Not.
Wtf, you weren't even in the thread. You sure went a great length to post that snotty reply.
kittenface, the only way you could have access to it in Canada is through the Special Access Programme. Unfortunately, their decision making process is based on evidence rather than simply on safety.... so your doctor would have to provide evidence that it would work on you for you to have...
That is a good idea. They really want to test my PFTs before and after before officially giving me hypersal to make sure it doesn't cause too much inflammation - as I already have a lot - so I'll make a call to the hospital for another appointment and try taking it more slowly.
I really hope it...
To me it was burning almost as much as if I was rubbing salt in an open wound. My lungs were okay, but the throat really didn't like it. Does it get that bad for you?
I'm calling the users of hypertonic saline. Does it happen that it burns your throat so much that it's unbearable? Does it happens only when your throat is especially irritated or is it always like that?
I went to the hospital to try it today and after the second breath, it was burning my throat...

You only need a script.
Wait, they will give you refills for a year, no question asked about her second mutation? There are a few peeps who might be interested in what company you are with...
albino is right. Note that the reason why DF508 is so frequent today is because it helped the carriers of that mutation survive dehydration caused by cholera during an epidemic long, long ago. So it isn't completely asymptomatic.
