I confirm that acid reflux is a side effect of Prednisone. My doctor gave me a prescription of Zantac to take 30 minutes before I take Prednisone even though I never had acid reflux.

Right now, there is little I can do or am interested in doing. Anything that would interest me is well beyond what I can do. It is a pain, because I was very active and energetic when I was younger and I loved being physically active. Doing my bed and cleaning the bath are examples of things...

I have that rather often. I would say once every 2-3 months. The frequency and intensity varies. Usually, an episode of pleurisy/inflammation will be followed/relieved by an episode of hemoptysis.
It was much worse before I had a bilateral embolization to fix my oversized lung arteries (my right...

The weirdest is the sick/not sick dichotomy that appears. You are sick, in the sense that your body malfunctions and bends your will. Yet, if you just sit there and do nothing, you don't feel the restrictions that the disease puts on your body, so you don't feel sick. For the restrictions that...

Background : I have 2 pseudomonas strains. They both show in vitro resistance to everything I can be given in intraveinous therapy. They are sensitive to Tazocin, but I'm allergic to it. They used to be very sensitive in vitro and in vivo to Ceftazidime, but now they both seem to have developped...

I read in the most recent issue of ACFCQ's SVB magazine that VX-809 is not very effective when used alone, but that there may be hope if used with Ivacaftor which helps the protein reach the surface of the cell.
But I think it was already known... and someone else on the forum said that so far...
