    Weight gain is complicated and I would want proof that my child is truly producing too much acid and I would also want to try natural methods first before adding a drug.     2 1/2 year old

    First, for as often as we check our CF kids weight, I don't think it is unusual to not see a gain every time they go in. Our son doesn't seem to gain in the summer but puts on more as we slow down for winter (he's 3). Definately don't want a weight loss, but increased height and no major gain...
