You are correct, there were some studies done with curcumin and inflammation. The last word I heard on the matter was that you had to take the curcumin in such a high dose to have an effect, it would be impractical. I have also heard anecdotes linking high-dose curcumin to cancer, but I have not...

I can't see a problem with that. They use frozen saline in the OR all the time. I would run it past your pharmacist or infusion company first, though. Usually they will just send more overnight if something happens, or you run out for whatever reason. That might be the easiest and most...

I was a paramedic for 10 years and you would be amazed at the number of patients that you pick up and they are talking to you and ten minutes later they are dead. Even a witnessed arrest with immediate ALS care nothing brought them back. When it's your time it's your time.

I hear you. I recently had to fight with my doc too and even went as far as having him removed from my case, because I didn't feel he had my best interest in mind. Keep fighting, even though it's complete BS that you have to. I would also strongly recommend that you look for another clinic or...

I agree quite a lot with anien2. I am not religious, so that doesn't factor into my thoughts on an afterlife. Obviously, cultures have been fixated on the afterlife as far as we have historic record, as others have mentioned. Probably the best evidence of the "other side" we have is to ask...

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Lovenox shots. Luckily I only have to be on them until my INR gets to an optimal level and then I'll be on coumadin only for 3 months. I will likely have to prophylactically do coumadin anytime I need a PICC in the future. Just one more reason to keep myself healthy.

Well, I am home now. It was an interesting month for me. I was in the hospital for 14 days. I went home on Monday the 19th with a PICC. Wednesday the 21st, I had to go to the ED where they found a big 'ole thrombosis in my Subclavian. I was just released again today on Lovenox shots and...

could be a hundred things...try and watch for patterns. Do you notice it happens immediately upon sitting up or getting up from bed? If so, do you have a way to check your blood pressure?
