Such a good idea Emily! I hope this works...
I posted some pictures of my fiancee, Olmo and our dog, Oscar (you'd think he was our friggin' kid or something, we've got so many pictures of him!)

I thought it was common until I asked a friend if her brother, who has CF also, had a vest. She didn't even know what I was talking about. If I remember correctly ( I was still at an age when my dad still handled everything so I didn't really pay attention) my doctor had to write a letter to...
My dog, Oscar, is the best little MONSTER! He's a Jindo (from the chow and akita family). I grew up with dogs, the doctors never told me anything bad about having pets. I've had Oscar for about a year; the last time I was in the hospital some resident doctor wanted me to get tested to see if...
Actually, all of the messages say that. It is there so that when someone posts a comment that is uncalled for the administrater (or moderator) can take it off. If you look through the teenager section, you will see that the administrater locked a couple of threads because the subject matter...
Okay, seriously, all of this talk about religion needs to just STOP! I got tricked into coming to this thread because I thought it was really going to be about some "amazing story" (maybe a cure for CF or something, although I wasn't holding my breath). But NO, I think I got my dose of church...
Julie, I was just wondering if when your husband has to go into the hospital if he would go to the one you work at. If I recall correctly, you said you work on a CF floor. Would you get to be your husbands nurse? or are there rules against that? If you could I'm sure that would keep both of...
I always sleep with one eye open when I'm in the hospital...I've called the nurses out on so many things that I'm sort of afraid of what could happen. I'm just glad that I have such a good understanding of what goes on that I know what to look out for. I can remember one time a home health...
Reading all of these posts, I just thought of some more...I love this thread!
1. Nicole, before I got my insulin pump I'd had my share of cold food too because I had to wait for the nurses to come in and give me insulin. Or when I would tell them my sugar was low, instead of going and getting...
I once had a nurse come in and weigh me at 4:30 a.m! So not only was I upset that she woke me up, but I also had to get myself out of bed!
It bothers me when the nurses don't come in to shut off the IV when it starts beeping. And I know they can hear it, everyone in the whole damn hospital...
I wish I had someone to stay with me in the hospital! It would probably still be boring, but at least I wouldn't be bored by myself...
Coll (and anyone else, I suppose) do you find that your veins last longer when they have a continuous IV drip going in, as opposed to just being hooked up when...
In defense of the original poster, he never implied that CF was contagious at all....in actuality one could say that CF is "spread" when 2 people, who are both carriers, have a child, blah, blah, blah....)
