My advice would be to stay active. Treatments are important, but when you can replace CPT with vigorous exercise for airway clearance, that is certainly preferable. I am 30, my FEV1 is over 100% predicted and I don't do CPT. Rather, I exercise as often as I can. I imagine that some of my...

Actually, I haven't made any conclusions yet. From the responses so far, it seems that the severity of the disease wasn't a contributing factor. What does seem to be a common theme is fear or worry. I might make another thread to see if we can get more responses, especially from the people...

I have never discussed my having CF with an employer prior to being hired. I have found that most people are completely ignorant to what CF really is. If they have heard about it, they usually have very dated information that paints an even uglier picture than reality. If they find out about...

I think this is an interesting topic, but I think we should look at some of the variables to get a better idea of some of the challenges we all face.
Personally, I have never had any issues with being rejected because of CF. I wonder if that is secondary to my good health, or some other...

I'm with the other over 100 percent-ers. It seems that exercise is the key to good lung function and staying healthy. I have always been pretty active and my PFT's have always been high, despite my having 2 of the nastier genotypes and doing very little in the way of treatments.
