Welcome back! How are the boys doing? I hope well. 40 lbs is great!! Mine barely weighed that at 6... How about you? Any new news on your testing for CF? Did you get the Ambry test yet? I'm sorry about the PPD diagnosis but I hope the extra help works!

Well, depending on whether you're planning on having more children or not, it may be more financially feasible to just test baby. Assuming you're keeping the baby either way, if you're not planning on having more children, and you take steps not to, couldn't you just test baby with the full...

Can happen. I know of someone whose DD was dx'd at 12. She'd been dx'd at 4 with Type I diabetes but they didn't catch the CF til age 12. No lung involvement at that time, just very small for size and the diabetes...

The tests are comparable. I believe Ambry is more comprehensive if you add the deletion testing. But, if the Quest testing is negative, or only shows one mutation, you may then have basis for the Ambry testing and insurance may approve it. Another option would be to re-do the sweat...

Compressor/Nebulizer Question
I agree with the poster who suggested checking the filter on the compressor itself. They need to be changed every 6 months-1 year and will effect performance. Hope that helps.

Good morning. My guess would also be PCD because of the situs inversus. There is an email list you can join on Yahoo for PCD. I would try there. Like CF, the presentation with PCD can be very different from one child to the next. If in fact, your grandson has PCD, you'll definitely want to...

I don't have CF so I don't know if my answer will interest you. I did have a tubal ligation though. Immediately after, my periods got really heavy, longer, and closer together. I've talked to several other women who've had similiar experiences. None had CF though so not sure that helps...
