I don't have CF so I don't know if my answer will interest you. I did have a tubal ligation though. Immediately after, my periods got really heavy, longer, and closer together. I've talked to several other women who've had similiar experiences. None had CF though so not sure that helps...
I just had to comment on this:
<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Of course, I have no idea why I'm even commenting because all of the "pro-lifers" will make excuses until their faces turn blue, despite facts, moral or otherwise... </end quote></div>

You can also do nasal washes. There's a neilmed sinus wash-we've never tried that but have heard it's good. We just make our own. Here's the recipe:
In a clean mason jar, mix 1 quart of sterile water with 2 tsps of arm & hammer, red label baking soda and 1-2 tsps of salt (the kind with no...

There is a parent on this site whose infant is not doing well. The child is not even a year old but is likely being sent home with hospice. Here's a link to the mom's post. It's buried within another post. THe Mom's username is bengismom. Please pray for this baby and mother.

bengismom, I'm so sorry about your son. He's so young. It just seems like there should be something they can do besides send you home with hospice. I'm so sorry. I HATE THIS DISEASE!

Sakasuka, it's the insurance companies, actually. Plus, with the exception of some specialists, a lot of doctors just do not realize that a negative on a basic carrier panel does not rule out CF. After my baby niece was diagnosed with echogenic bowel in utero, they did a basic carrier test on...

Actually, I have to respectfully disagree with Julie. When our middle DS was sweat tested, they barely got enough sweat. I'm not sure what measurement they use to discuss the quantity of sweat - I think maybe miligrams??? Anyway, DS had 78 mg or whatever of sweat. They needed at least 75 at...

Well, I don't have CF (new baby niece does); therefore, I
hated to respond. Since you don't have many replies, I
thought I'd give my 2¢. Although I, too, think it's best for
a parent to stay home, that's not always feasible for many
different reasons besides finances. In my experience, my...
