I'm really glad Ashton got over his high fever. Thanks for the update! You know how it gets - you wonder about the people you've come to know of, and you find yourself asking about them out loud to your husband and he looks at you and asks you who you are talking about!
You have a full plate...
Our experience was that the stools in the diaper were not loose or runny - the diaper absorbed all of the "looseness" i.e. grease. The color was orangey, mostly, as I recall.
Your insurance doesn't cover the genetic test - is that right? There are other things you can try - your doc can do...

Some of her symptoms could be CF - you've clearly done some research so you know this.
I suspect the "presumptive" word was so that treatments could begin, as you described. I'm personally NOT skeptical of it, but I'm "not the momma" of your Catie.
The genetics should tell the tale...

It may very well NOT be CF but with his symptoms and history I personally think any pediatrician that doesn't recommend genetic testing doesn't know enough about CF. Search until you find one that does.
Sometimes I can be pretty harsh on docs, but it frustrates me to see a story like yours and...

I'm sorry that you are going through this. Even if your baby does have CF there is a lot of reason for hope.
Who is telling you he may have CF - i.e. what kind of specialists are involved? What are they planning to do - sweat test, genetic testing? When? Are you able to go to an accredited...

I'm really glad you were able to rule out CF. Thanks for posting your results - I always wonder what happens to folks who post here, and sometimes they don't have time to let us know!
I hope you can get your daughter's food allergies under control and get her feeling better!

I am very sorry for your diagnosis, but welcome to the site!
One thing that makes your experience different than some others, believe it or not, is the incredible support that your daughter and her husband are experiencing from both you and his family. What a special grandma you are...
